How I spent my free time....Summer Edition

Here's some of my summer cards I made, I spent over an hour walking up and down the aisles at my favorite stamping store a couple weeks ago.  I can't wait to go back!

Here's Kurt picking up all the clay pigeons I didn't seem to shoot on my first try at trap shooting.  I didn't do to bad, and only had a slight bruise, the second picture is my new Mossberg semi-auto.

Here's Kurt sighting in my new scope he bought me....I'm so spoiled.  Notice the gun is pink - and it ways "shoot like a girl...if you can"  I need to get a  picture of one of my targets, I'm actually pretty good.

Blog Neglect - Summer Edition

It's been a quick summer, it seems to go much faster when you spend 40 hours of your week working.  Kurt has the weekends off now so we've been finding lots of things to do and places to go.  I'm looking forward to the cooler weather to spend some more weekends at home making cards and cooking some soup.  Here's some randoms from this summer.

This is my beautiful hanging basket I got for the front of the house, unfortunately after about a month it started producing an ungodly odor, similar to 3-4 pairs of my nephew's awful stinky shoes.  I do have to say it is a good deterrent for unwanted visitors.

Here's my tomato planter, it was a $25 investment from Wal-Mart, and I was pretty impressed.  I got a good 6-8 tomatoes, 4-5 peppers, plus some basil and oregano.  And I didn't have to pull any weeds or piss of my condo association by ripping up any of the grass to plant my garden.

Wisconsin State Fair - August
I went to the State Fair with the family and had to take a picture of the wall of cream puffs, every year it never fails to impress.  It's definitely one oiled machine they got set up there, 338,337 sold during this years fair.

Milwaukee Zoo - August
Some how these creatures made it outside the glass, in their natural habitat apparently their brothers bite their noses.  I'm not sure if it's from a lack of food in their region or a bizarre rite of passage.

Here's a disappointed Tweed, the windows stayed shut from June through August because of the awful heat and humidity...finally some of those greenhouse gases my buddy Al always talks about.
