Off the face of the Earth.

I'm still not used to working 40 hours a week after being back at it for a whole month now.  My body still seems to think that 8 hours of sleep is not sufficient so most nights now I'm in bed by 8....I know it's pretty depressing.

So this month I've only managed to do what has to be done around the house, but I'm still making dinner every night and have not resorted to just sticking a pizza in the oven, so there is one thing to be proud of.  Tonight I'm making Cod with Classic Beurre Blanc Sauce....it sounds pretty fancy don't it?  Basically it's a wine/butter sauce, I hope it tastes good or Kurt will be running to Quizno's on his way to work so he doesn't starve.

Maybe not creative, but definitely a step in the right direction.

Today I spent most of the afternoon cleaning out my file cabinet...it was time.  I'm sure at one point we felt we needed to keep the manual from out $20 toaster, or insurance cards from 7 years ago, but now I just think it's silly.  Spring cleaning is on, even if it's a little early.

Another early night

I have finished my second full week of full-time work, and I'm still can't seem to stay up past 9 pm.  I promise I will do something worth putting on here this weekend....but during the week it's been enough to get through making dinner and doing some laundry.  I guess you really don't understand how much your body's tolerance goes down after 8 months of not working...until you're actually working again....or maybe this is just how it is once you turn 30;-)

Semi-productive first half of the weekend

I managed to get the grocery shopping done, clean the cat's litterbox (which I'm sure he's thankful for), and I hand washed my car.  I'm sure anyone who is reading this thinks I'm an idiot for filling up a bucket of hot water and wiping down my car in 40 degree temp., but it had this digusting crusty layer of salt on it that I couldn't take any longer.  And I couldn't justify waiting in line 30 minutes to spend $10 to wash the thing, when it's just going to get dirty again the next time I drive it.

Now off to finish the dishes and get another load of laundry in...tomorrow I rest;-)

Day 3 and I finally feel like normal again.

So today was my third full day at my new job, and I finally felt like a normal living person again when I got home.  The past two days I have not been motivated at all, so the fact that laundry is actually in the washing machine right now is a huge step.  8 months of unemployment can really bring down your tolerance for work.
